From December of this year, UAB “DD Transportas,” which owns 100 trucks and operates transportations in Western Europe, and UAB “Transaibė,” which owns 250 trucks and operates local transportations in Lithuania, are integrated into UAB “cargoGO Logistics.” In total, the group manages 1,000 of its own transport vehicles and employs almost 2,000 employees.
“One of the goals of this integration is to maximize the utilization of the IT systems implemented by ‘cargoGO Logistics,’ which provide excellent results in optimizing processes and operations,” says Osvaldas Švitra, CEO of “cargoGO Group” and UAB “cargoGO Logistics.” “We have calculated that to achieve better results in all group companies, it is necessary to combine the entire business. Moreover, this perfectly reflects our company’s mission – to make life easier for our customers, partners, and ourselves.”
A classic business decision
After integration with one IT infrastructure, all “cargoGO Logistics” companies and their equipment are managed. The goal is to fully automate processes, centralize the activities of finance, transport management, services, and other departments, as well as the services provided by the company’s companies.
“Indeed, such a solution is a classic example of business management, where integrating several companies achieves synergy, allowing optimization of many processes, reducing costs, and offering more rational solutions and better services to customers and partners,” describes the benefits of the decision Osvaldas Švitra.
Sharing Know-How
“cargoGO Logistics” continues to aim to share accumulated knowledge and experience with all its companies – know-how, centralizing and automating the management of companies under its ownership and the systems used in them, continuing the implementation of AI-based IT systems that help optimize logistics services and transportation operating costs. Integration also makes it possible to simplify, clarify, and make all processes more efficient, improve employees, expand their knowledge and competencies, and strive for new career heights. A great example of this is the successful career path within the group of the new director of “Transaibė,” Pranas Pernaravičius.
“Until now, Pranas has been responsible for the driver management department within the group. Starting to work five years ago, he has shown excellent process management skills, proven that he can create business, implement business development, and strategic decisions,” introduces the new leader Osvaldas Švitra.
Towards a Sustainable Business
In 2024, “cargoGO Logistics” plans to take an even more sustainable path of company development.
“By using IT solutions and artificial intelligence, as well as the skill of drivers, we minimize the amount of fuel consumed by our trucks. Having achieved the highest results in the ‘cargoGO Logistics’ company, we aim to implement them in other group companies,” says Osvaldas Švitra.
According to him, “cargoGO Group” will become even “greener” next year – they plan to purchase electric trucks for transportation in Lithuania.
“Calculations show that electric trucks can fully meet the needs of our customers in Lithuania; they will have enough battery capacity to cover the routes requested by the customers. Therefore, we plan to electrify the entire fleet working within the country, to show our customers that we want not only to grow but also to expand a sustainable business. Moreover, I believe that our major customers will positively evaluate such a decision; with them, we plan to extend long-term contracts next year, which are acceptable to both parties,” says the CEO of the logistics company group “cargoGO Group” and the CEO of “cargoGO Logistics.” “The electrification of trucks depends not only on our desires but also on the interest, needs, and attitude towards sustainable business of our customers. In any case, over the next few years, the electrification of transport is inevitable.”
