In 2018 I had a good tennis match with Donatas, and afterwards we decided to have dinner. I did not know at the time that he was the owner/shareholder of cargoGO. He asked me a few questions about my experience and my thoughts on the transportation business and how I understand the use of technology in business. Right away, while still sitting at the table, I was offered to join cargoGO as the Head of the Transport department. The whole conversation was very inspiring, kind of magical, so I accepted the offer. From the beginning I was given full confidence to do what I needed: implement new business software, hire new people, change the structure, basically I could do whatever I wanted as long as it was good for the business. This confidence and the way of thinking empowered me to bring out the best in me and used all my past experiences to take the business to the top. From then until now, I have used the same tactics and strategy throughout the organization – to trust and encourage people to take responsibility and act independently with courage to learn and make fast decisions.
